Genome Shield is a Diagnostics and Software Informatics Company founded in New Haven, USA by Yale Pharmacology alumni. It is a genetic testing and genetic information storage, interpretation and retrieval company. We deliver personalized medicine at affordable costs through our pharmacogenomics lab based test using the latest technologies along with a computational clinical decision system and app support, which have been, developed in collaboration with the academic members from prestigious universities in the US.

Board of Directors

Dr. Krishna P. Ravindranathan

CEO, Founder Genome Shield, Ph.D Rutgers University, Postdoc Yale Pharmacology.
Dr. Krishna P. Ravindranathan cofounded Genome Shield in New Haven, CT following his postdoctoral fellowships in the Department of Pharmacology, Yale School of Medicine and Department of Chemistry, Yale University. He obtained his Ph.D. in computational biochemistry at Rutgers University. His research experience spans drug design and discovery, cancer biology and personalized medicine.


Dr. T. Ravindranathan

Dr. T. Ravindranathan (Tech) is a graduate of the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. He did post-doctoral fellowships at Cambridge U. K., with Nobel laureate Lord Alexander Todd and Prof. C B. Reese, and at Harvard U. S. A., with Nobel Laureate Prof. E. J. Corey.

He was formerly Head, Organic Chemical Technology and Deputy Director at the National Chemical Laboratory, where he pioneered newer aspects of modern synthetic organic chemistry and new directions in chemical technology with the motto "Chemistry with a Purpose", for the requirements of the Indian Pharmaceutical and Chemical industry.

Over the course of his career he founded and established the pharmaceutical companies Resonance and Hygeia Laboratories, which develop chemistry intensive Pharmaceutical products, import substitutes (for vital needs of Indians) and pilot plant to plant level production.

He has mentored many students who have produced doctoral theses and master's dissertations. He has won national awards, published over 100 papers and has been awarded over 50 patents.


Dr. Raji Menon

Dr. Raji Menon is the Founder and Chairman of the Menon Group, engaged in exploration of Subsoil Hydrocarbon Reserves, Pharmaceuticals, Information Technology and Media. He started his business career in the 1980s in Moscow. The Menon Group made inroads into very diverse areas ranging from Pharmaceuticals to Aeronautics and Computers to Poligraphy.

One of Dr. Menon's early startups in Visual Media, an initiative from the Menon Group was the Indian media conglomerate "Asianet", which has a global footprint touching the homes and establishments of 40 million Indians in more than 60 countries.




Scientific Advisory Board

ANIWAA OWUSU OBENG, PHARM.D

Aniwaa Owusu Obeng, Pharm.D is Assistant Professor at the Charles Bronfman Institute of Personalized Medicine in Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where she is leading efforts in translation of Pharmacogenomics in Clinical Care.

Dr. Obeng has also established numerous educational opportunities in pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine for clinical providers, patients, medical students, residents and fellows. Her research interests lie in developing best practice processes for clinical implementation of pharmacogenomics. Moreover, Dr. Obeng is the Clinical Pharmacogenomics Coordinator in the Pharmacy Department at The Mount Sinai Hospital where she precepts final year pharmacy students and PGY1/PGY2 pharmacy residents in clinical pharmacogenomics.

Dr. Obeng is a guideline-writing member of the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) and also an active member in the CPIC Informatics Working Group. Dr. Owusu Obeng obtained her doctor of pharmacy degree from the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Albany, NY and then pursued general pharmacy practice PGY1 residency at the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in Bronx, NY. Afterwards, she was selected as the inaugural PGY2 resident under the tutelage of Dr. Julie Johnson in the pharmacogenomics specialty residency offered jointly by the UF Health Personalized Medicine Program and the University Of Florida College Of Pharmacy in Gainesville, FL.


MIRIAM S. DIMAIO

Ms. DiMaio is board certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin and her master's degree from Boston University.

She is the Senior Genetic Counselor in the Department of Genetics at Yale School of Medicine where her primary focus and expertise is in reproductive genetics, prenatal diagnosis, and inherited neurodegenerative disorders.

In addition to caring for patients, she teaches genetics to physicians and medical students and is the author of numerous publications related to prenatal diagnosis.





Business Advisory Board

Sudhir Nair

Sudhir Nair is Sr. Vice President and Global Head, Infrastructure Management and Cloud Services, Tech Mahindra Ltd., a vertical with 7000 employees. Sudhir Nair has more than 2 decades of cross functional experience in IT Infrastructure Management and Cloud services. He has held leadership positions in Business Development and Delivery. He is credited with an innate ability to sense opportunities, ahead of curve. This has enabled TechM IMS launch several innovative solutions, that deliver accelerated and profitable growth.

Post acquisition of Satyam, he played a pivotal role in seamlessly integrating the Infra business. He established IMS Innovation centre to build Tools, Platforms, and Automation solutions to enable Transformation of Infrastructure services. He pioneered in constructing a cost-neutral Infrastructure Services Academy that enables a sustainable and reliable supply ecosystem.

At Infosys, which he joined in 2002, he was responsible for launching the Infra Business into the global market. Before Infosys, during his stint at HCL, he played numerous roles, from being a Business Manager in UK to heading Presales / Technical group. He started his career with Wipro Infotech. Sudhir is a Computer Science graduate from Mumbai University. He is an ITIL Practitioner and is CISA certified.


Nina Sodhi

Nina has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Canada.

She is a seasoned startup executive and has built and scaled several early-stage companies. Currently, Nina has several active roles. She is the Founder and CEO of Bookshelf Builder, a recommendation site for children's books. Nina is also is the part time COO of Spatial, an augmented reality startup. She is an investor and advisor to several startups in Toronto and NYC.

Previously, she founded and ran Nackina, LLC, a consulting company focused on startup strategy and scaling serving select Fortune 500 companies. She was also the CEO of Fon US, a worldwide leader in the crowd sourced WiFi space; the Founder and CEO of Blu Trumpet LLC, a mobile advertising company incubated at IAC (acquired by Breaktime Studios); and the COO of BumpTop (acquired by Google). Prior to her C-level roles at tech companies, she was a VP at Merrill Lynch in their technology investment banking group.

Santosh R. Nandan, Ph.D is presently Managing Director of Ambernath Organics and Menon Pharmaceuticals, Formerly Associate Director Astra Zeneca, Ph.D Rutgers, Postdoc MIT




Ratnakar Josyula, Ph.D

Ratnakar Josyula, Ph.D is presently Associate Director Quality Unit, Pfizer. He manages cross functional teams including clinicians, statisticians, scientists, regulatory and legal representatives to address significant quality issues occurring in clinical trials. In response to these quality issues he develops corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) at Pfizer. He has a thorough experience in clinical research quality management.

Early on, he held a research faculty position at Yale School of Public Health where he developed the quality plan for the Yale data coordinating center and audit readiness tools for the VA Connecticut Healthcare System.

He is RAC certified (Regulatory Affairs Certification; Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society) and a trained ISO 9001:2015 quality system auditor. He earned his PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed a Pharmacology Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Yale School of Medicine.
